Situated in the small, idyllicl town of Luperon on the North Coast of the Dominican Republic, Marina Luperon (part of Marina Tropical SA) is a safe haven for sailors from around the world.  For centuries the  Bay of Luperon has been used as a shelter from storms. Even Christopher Columbus is said to have anchored here to protect his ships from a storm. 

Nowadays, Luperon is known to be a safe Hurricane hole surrounded by breathtaking scenery, whose residents are friendly and forthcoming.

Marina Tropical is in the process of being constructed from the ground up.  In the not too distant future it will be turned into a full service marina which will include serviced slips, a dry dock, boat storage as well as a marine filling station.  Plans have also been drawn up for vacation apartments, luxury villas and a shopping complex.
